What is it about?

Matchfinder reveals which inner images you associate with terms. Your language world (picturesque · concrete · social · factual) is created from 60 quick image decisions. With the Match QR, you can compare your profile with others.

How does it work?

You will see 4 images for each term. Tap the one that best suits you. The app saves everything locally and displays your results as a pie chart. Optionally, you can generate a plain text QR that others can scan (or vice versa).

Requirements

• Portrait mode (fixed).
• For scanning: Allow camera access.
• Can be used offline; only when sharing does it depend on your share destination.

First start

• Select language at the top.
• An security code (8 digits) is automatically generated and stored locally.

Answer terms (60/60)

• Per term: Tap 1 of 4 images.
• Swipe left/right or use the arrows to scroll.
• You can change your answers at any time; they are saved immediately.

Progress & saving

• On-device storage via UserDefaults.
• You can pause and continue seamlessly later.

Results (World View)

• Donut chart with proportions of the 4 style worlds.
• Dominant direction with short text for context.
• Note if not all 60 have been answered yet.

Match & QR

• After 60/60: ‘Generate QR’ → Plain text QR is created.
• Share via system share.
• Others can scan your QR in the ‘Scan QR’ screen.

QR scanning & comparison

• Point camera at code (square frame).
• Status message shows successful/invalid.
• For two complete profiles: match percentage, hits/total, comparison by image type, and detailed view with exactly matching images.

Reset

• ‘Reset’ sets all answers to 0 (with confirmation).

Data protection & security

• Data remains only on your device.
• QR contains no personal data, only answer patterns + intro + (double) Sec_Code.
• No tracking, no cloud transfer through the app.

Accessibility & tips

• Short decision time, clear contrasts, large touch targets.
• Answer intuitively; avoid random tapping.
• For fair comparisons, both should have completed 60/60.

Troubleshooting (short)

• Camera locked: iOS ‘Settings → Privacy → Camera’.
• QR invalid: Check that the code is complete and comes from Matchfinder.
• Performance: Restart the app, close other apps, keep enough memory free.

*Only a random code so that no one can pass off your profile as their own.
